Former Indian player, cricket analyst and commentator Akash Chopra praised the batting of Indian superstar Cheteshwar Pujara. Chopra said that not everyone likes Pujara’s batting style but he is a very good batsman.

Akash Chopra’s remarks were in the context of the India-Australia second Test. The second match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be Pujara’s 100th Test in his career.

‘Not everyone likes him. Many may not find his batting entertaining. If you want entertainment then go watch Pathan movie. Even boring runs are important at times,’ said Chopra.

Chopra said that Cheteshwar Pujara is only the 13th player to play his 100th Test and he still deserves congratulations.

He is being compared to Rahul Dravid. Only 13 Indian players have played 100 Tests so far. Among the current players, only Virat has achieved that feat. Pujara still deserves to be congratulated,’ he added.

Cheteshwar Pujara is India’s most trusted player in the Test format. At present he is the only one who can be called a test specialist.

He has scored 7,021 runs at an average of 44.15 in his Test career.

The second match of the series is on February 17. The venue is Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.

India won the first match at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur by a comfortable margin. India won by an innings and 132 runs. India is planning to repeat the same performance in Delhi.
