According to the data, in the last week about 330 positive hospitalizations for influenza virus and 211 positive hospitalizations for RSV were reported. 41% of those confirmed to have the flu were adults, 37% were children and 4.8% were hospitalized in the department of pregnant women. However, until 6.2.23 only 17.8% of those insured in Israel’s health insurance funds had been vaccinated against influenza, with the leading age group in vaccination being 58.6%.

The flu wave started around October and since then the National Center for Disease Control has reported about 5,186 hospitalizations.
