Kirsty was mom-shamed at the supermarket for a ready-to-eat meal

by time news
Kirsty Ketley (42) did not know what hit her when she was approached by a strange woman about the contents of her shopping basket in the supermarket. According to the meddlesome lady, there was a lot wrong with the content.

We all know the well-meaning advice of other mothers. But from a stranger in the wild? That doesn’t happen often. The English Kirsty quickly visited the supermarket to score some food for her children, when an unknown woman bent over her shopping basket. The snob wrinkled her nose and asked her if the ready-made food was for herself or for her children. What Kirsty bought? Beef cannelloni, a cute biscuit in a plastic wrapper and a creamy garlic bread. SCANDALOUS! And therefore enough reason for a portion of mom shaming.

Balanced nutrition
The busybody thought that there was too much salt and too much sugar in the ready-to-eat food to give to children. Kirsty says on TikTok: “I don’t normally come here to do a monologue, but I thought I really had to do something with this.” At the supermarket, she decided to ignore the woman’s comments. She could have gotten angry and screamed, but chose to swallow her words. She knows that her children are well fed. She herself calls it a ‘balanced eating pattern’. “We don’t talk about good or bad food. Food is food,” says the 42-year-old mother. “My children know that it is better not to eat too much of some things and also which things do ensure that your bones or hair grow well.”

In the comments on social media, Kirsty gets a lot of support and she is especially advised not to pay attention to the other shopper.
