Media Tech has launched the Dimensity 7200

MediaTek announced the Dimensity 7200, a new processor that the company offers to the mid-range market. This is the head processor in a new family, Dimensity 7000, which according to the company is designed to satisfy the need for the expansion of the intermediate market in light of the increase in prices – with sufficiently high capabilities in terms of photography and gameplay.

The processor consists of 2 Cortex-A715 cores and 6 Cortex-A510 cores and its maximum speed is 2.8 GHz. It is produced in 4 nanometer lithography at TSMC’s factories like the company’s flagship processor, Dimensity 9200. The graphics chip is Mali G610 which, according to the company, can handle high-level games, and also supports a FHD+ resolution display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. There is also a dedicated chip for calculating artificial intelligence operations, including those related to photography such as real-time beautification in selfies.

The processor supports working memories at a speed of up to 6,400 MB/s, storage memory at the level of UFS 3.1 and a main camera with a resolution of up to 200 megapixels and 4K video recording capabilities with HDR support. The 5G modem supports sub-6GHz networks with a maximum download rate of 4.7 Gbps, and also offers support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. It also supports 5G dual-SIM devices.

According to the company, phones with Dimensity 7200 will hit the market already this quarter.
