Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne was elected Thursday “political personality of the year 2022” by the jury of the Trombinoscope Prize, announced the professional directory of the political world which awards this award.

She thus succeeds the LR president of the Ile-de-France region Valérie Pécresse, who received this prize in 2021, and the PS mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, winner in 2020.

Founded in 1981 by journalist Félix Colin, Le Trombinoscope is a professional directory of the political sphere, which each year awards a prize to outstanding political figures of the past year.

The Trombinoscope awards several other awards on the occasion of its annual prize list. After Sandrine Rousseau in 2021, the prize for “political revelation of the year” was thus awarded to the national secretary of the PCF Fabien Roussel. The Minister Delegate for Public Accounts Gabriel Attal receives the “Minister of the Year” award and succeeds the former Secretary of State for People with Disabilities, Sophie Cluzel.

At the parliamentary level, three elected officials were highlighted: the president of the Renaissance group Aurore Bergé, who won the “MP of the year” prize, but also Éliane Assassi of the majority communist CRCE group and Arnaud Bazin (LR ), elected “Senators of the Year”. In 2021, Yaël Braun-Pivet (Renaissance) and Claude Malhuret (LIRT), were respectively rewarded for the Palais-Bourbon and the Luxembourg Palace.

David Lisnard, LR mayor of Cannes and president of the Association of Mayors of France (AMF), is for his part crowned “local elected representative of the year”, after Carole Delga in 2021, president of the Occitanie region.

Finally, the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, was awarded the “European of the Year” prize, in the midst of the war in Ukraine and while her country, whose candidacy for the European Union was approved in June, faces threats from Moscow.
