Qatif – Two Saudi nationals were sentenced to 15 years in prison each for stealing valuables after hitting a man with a vehicle in the eastern province of Qatif.
The accused were sentenced to 15 years in prison each and the vehicle used in the crime was confiscated, official sources of the public prosecution said. Earlier, the Public Prosecution handed over their case to the competent court after completing the investigation.
They have been charged with forming an organized criminal group, attempted murder, robbery and robbing the victim of valuables by hitting the victim with a vehicle.
The incident was caught on the surveillance camera of a nearby house and the video went viral on social media. The footage shows a car speeding towards a man crossing the street and hitting him.
Finally, he could not get up and fell to the ground. After this, one of the assailants got out of the car, grabbed the valuables and got into the car.
