Cricketer Prithvi Shah went for dinner with friends at a hotel on Wednesday night. Then a man and a woman who introduced themselves as fans expressed their desire to take a selfie with Prithvi Shah. He also took some photos with them. But they reportedly forced Prithvi Shah to take more photographs.
After this, Prithvi called his friends and the hotel manager and told them to control them. The hotel management kicked them out of the hotel. After that, the couple who were waiting outside the hotel followed Prithvi Shah’s car after he left there.
The car was intercepted on a Mumbai road. Then there was an argument between the two sides. Prithvi Shah was allegedly attacked then. A video has also been released in this regard and has created a stir. A complaint has been lodged at the police station regarding this incident.
In a complaint filed by Prithvi Shah’s friend, two men harassed Prithvi by asking for a selfie at the hotel. We were not even allowed to eat. We told the hotel management and they kicked them both out. As we left the hotel, the two were waiting with a few others with baseball bats. They beat and damaged our car. When we left there, they stopped us near the petrol station and got into an argument. Rs. 50,000 and threatened to lodge a false complaint with the police if they did not demand 50,000, the complaint said.
The police have registered a case against 8 people in connection with this incident. Sana (A) is said to be interrogating a woman named Swapna Gill at the police station. Sana’s lawyer said that it was Prithvi Shah’s friends who attacked the woman first. Prithvi Shah has also said that Sana was beaten and had handcuffs. Her lawyer alleged that the police kept the woman in the police station without even sending her for treatment.
