SAO PAULO (Reuters) – The Federal Police, together with the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office, launched this Thursday an operation to combat crimes against the financial system and the capital market, whose suspects are partners in a company specializing in crypto assets.

Authorities did not identify the suspects or mention the name of the company, but said that in the last 4 years the group has moved “values ​​equivalent to approximately 1.5 billion reais in crypto assets”.

The PF stated that it served 8 search and seizure warrants in João Pessoa, Campina Grande and São Paulo.
