Buses from outside areas arriving at Chennai Koyambedu Bus Station, arriving at Koyambedu via the Perungalathur-Maduravayal Bypass, take an alternative route to reach Koyambedu due to traffic congestion during office hours.
In this situation, the State Transport Corporation has issued an order that government buses coming to Koyambedu from other states can pass through Tambaram.
Due to this, buses from outside areas are expected to pass through Tambaram during daytime hours. It is seen that it will be very welcome especially for the people coming to Chennai metropolitan area.
Buses arriving in Chennai after 5 pm have been ordered to go to Koyambedu via Maduravayal toll gate. According to this, the government buses coming from Perungalathur during the day will visit Tambaram, Krombettai and Vadapalani routes and go to Koyambedu.
