“Everything is ready” for Eñaut Elorrieta’s concert at Victoria Eugenia this Friday. He has two years of work behind ‘Fantasiak’, a “very naked album” in his words and the listener will experience the work of interpretation on stage. “There is no electric guitar on the album and we brought it to the live band. We wanted to maintain the atmosphere and energy, always adapted to the live sound.” They have been working locally for the last months and he is very happy with the results obtained in Andoain and Mungia. “It represents the moment we are together on stage.”
The performance, which is expected to last 90 minutes, will have two parts. On the one hand, before the concert, a short documentary about the creative process of the ‘Fantasia’ album will be screened. “Being before the concert gives the game away because it doesn’t distort the concert”, hopes Elorrieta. Apart from Donostia, it can only be seen in three other places: Arriaga Theater (Bilbo), Principal Theater (Gasteiz) and Gayarre Theater (Iruñea). What will be shown live, however, will not be a definitive documentary as Arriguri is working on it. “We are working on how to make it public and what path it will take,” he said.
Afterwards, with the help of the usual tour mates, they will play all the songs from the ‘Fantasia’ album, which is not very common in current tours, as well as songs from previous works. He also predicted that there will be novelties specifically for Donostia. Victoria Eugenia was not a random choice, as Elorrieta has always presented her albums in the Donostia venue. “I feel very at home, protected. It helps me stay in my place.”

Thus, the hall hopes to multiply the approach. “Victoria Eugenia receives any proposal, with her flexibility she accepts rock songs wonderfully and supports naked proposals. I really like the room. I think it’s a beautiful room in size, very nice, I really like how it looks inside. It is a very comfortable place both to play and to watch concerts. It’s very elegant and the light and sound designs come together very well.’
As if what has been prepared is not enough, the concert will be special because many of Elorrieta’s friends who have traveled along her journey will be on stage with her. Yes, Ruben Caballero (guitars and backing vocals), Fernando Neira (bass), Txus Aranburu (keyboards and backing vocals), Ander Zulaika (drums and backing vocals) and Igor Telletxea (trombone) have been with him on the album. “I started my solo career with the album ‘Deserri kantak’ and then Ruben, Chus and Igor were with me. On this tour, Igor will be with us only in Victoria Eugenia and he will play the trombone in several songs as a special guest. I’m especially excited that the three will be in this ‘Fantasia’ together with their new companions, it will be an encounter that has never happened before.”
