Mykhailo Podoliak, the political adviser of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, today ruled out the possibility of peace talks with Moscow, unless Russia withdraws from Ukraine, and emphasized Kiev’s position: “For the decriminalization of world politics and real world security, the war must end with the victory of Ukraine,” he wrote on Twitter.
He added: “Negotiations can begin when Russia withdraws its troops from the territory of Ukraine. Other options only give Russia time to reorganize forces and resume hostilities at any moment.”
