18 Afghan refugees found dead in abandoned cargo truck container

Thousands of people from various countries including Africa, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria are illegally entering European countries as refugees in search of economy and livelihood.

In particular, refugees from Turkey are entering the EU illegally. This is being prevented by the respective country’s security forces.

In this case, the police came to know today that the container truck that entered Bulgaria from Turkey was standing in a no-man’s land.

Subsequently, they opened the container truck which was standing in a deserted area in the village of Logarsko, 20 kilometers from the capital Sofia.

At that time, it was revealed that 52 people were confined in the lorry container. In this, 18 people were found dead. The remaining 34 people, including children, have been admitted to hospital for treatment in critical condition.

It has been revealed that all the people in the container were refugees from Afghanistan and all the refugees were trying to enter European countries illegally from Turkey via Bulgaria. Bulgarian police have arrested four people for trying to smuggle Afghan refugees into the European Union through Turkey.
