The US authorities have suspended the search for the debris of two of the unidentified flying objects that were shot down on February 10 and 12 over American soil. Northern Military Command has announced that operations have ended for objects shot down over Alaska and Lake Huron.
Despite systematic searches of the area, conducted through the use of aerial imaging and sensors, surface sensors and subsurface scans, no debris was found. In Alaska, arctic conditions and ice prompted the search to be cancelled. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin approved the suspension of operations.
The US military also shot down what is believed to be a Chinese spy balloon that had been flying over the country. The debris was recovered off the coast of South Carolina. “The final pieces are transferred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation Laboratory in Virginia for data analysis by counterintelligence, as was the case with previous surface and underground debris recovered “, says a note.
