Now a British Superbikes team will wear a classic livery throughout the season in honor of the good old Kawasaki days. It is the FS-3 Racing Kawasaki, which goes back a few decades to show off the colors with which the Akashi brand was recognized and which began with the legendary Kawasaki ZXR 750 and ZX-7R, an icon today with its green, white and blue colors.
Her its green, blue and white decoration stood out colloquially baptized in Spain as ‘Telefónica’ for its resemblance to the vans used by the Spanish multinational to maintain its poles and lines.
Well, exactly the same scheme has been followed by those of the BSB team, although adapting it to the current ZX-10RR with which they will compete in the 2023 season. The design is practically the same, with that greenish color (although perhaps a little more phosphorous than the original), combined with blue and green.
For those with a good memory (if not, we’ll remind you), surely this ZX-10RR reminds you of the one worn by the WSBK Kawasaki Racing Team in 2021 for the opening race of the season. They also took the opportunity to remember the 125-year history of the brand and they drew the same livery from the Kawasaki ZXR 750 on Jonathan Rea’s bike.
In this case, the main sponsor becomes a national product: Chesire Mouldings, a British timber company. The decoration is finished off by other secondary brands and the main color of Kawasaki in blue, contrasting with white.
