Marisa Laurito has been reconfirmed as artistic director of the Trianon Viviani for the three-year period 2023-2025. This was decided by the board of directors of the theater foundation after examining the six applications received, in response to the public notice for the expression of interest in holding the position last January 17th. For the president Gianni Pinto and the councilors Igina Di Napoli and Antonio Roberto Lucidi, «the board of directors reconfirmed Marisa Laurito as artistic director, as her candidacy fully interpreted the statutory mission of the foundation to enhance and promote the Neapolitan song and musical heritage and musical theater of yesterday and today».

Laurito: all my energy in the project

“They have been very difficult years for show business workers, and also for us, but thanks to the Campania Region and Governor De Luca’s attention to culture, we have managed to continue working well and producing with commitment and strength”. declares Marisa Laurito. «I thank the Metropolitan City, the mayor Manfredi and above all the board of directors and the president Gianni Pinto, who have once again embraced my project – continues the artistic director –. I will put all the energy I have into directing the Trianon Viviani and accompanying it in this new three-year period to the success it deserves, both for its history and for the national visibility gained in recent years, thanks also to high-quality operations and international scope. The Trianon Viviani is located in the heart of Naples: Forcella, a neighborhood that was frequented by nobles, inhabited by a queen, and lived by great artists. Today regenerated daily by the l’Altra Napoli association and by the traders’ association in Forcella, and by many other positive forces, including the public. I can’t fail to thank all the artists who accompanied the rebirth of the Trianon as a temple of Neapolitan song with enthusiasm and skill. My two special travel companions, Nello Mascia and Davide Iodice». «Thanks to all these positive forces, and to all those who share this work with me with passion – concludes Marisa Laurito -, I am sure that the Trianon Viviani will increasingly become an important cultural pole for our great Neapolitan musical tradition of yesterday and today ».
