Special trip on the Train of the Eighties
On February 18 and 19, the Asociación de Amigos del Ferrocarril de Madrid puts the historic “Tren de los Ochenta” back on track. In collaboration with the Linares-Baeza Association of Friends of the Railway this trip goes to Almería to spend the weekend. The train will run under the name of Estrella “Alcazaba”, in homage to the old nocturnal relationship that linked Seville with Almería passing through Linares.
The train, made up of the 333-107 and five carriages -including our mixed 2nd/cafeteria BBR-9805-, will leave the Chamartín station at 7:00 am on Saturday 18 to cover more than four hundred kilometers with intermediate stops. The return is on Sunday at 2:30 p.m., with new photo stops in Gádor and Huéneja-Dólar, once the epicenter of iron ore train traffic. After leaving travelers in Linares-Baeza, Alcázar de San Juan, Aranjuez and Atocha, you will arrive in Chamartín already after 11:00 p.m.

Children’s carnival party in Adif vialia Albacete Los Llanos
The Adif station vialia Albacete Los Llanos hosts the celebration of the Children’s Carnival on February 18. The offer of activities, from 5 to 8 p.m. on the first floor of the shopping center. It will be made up of inflatable attractions, a costume parade, a face painting workshop, crafts, dancing and entertainment.

Children’s activities at the Madrid Railway Museum
On Saturday, February 18, at 11:45 and 1:00 p.m., the Museum hosts the family theater The First Voyage of the Orient Express, recommended for ages 4 and up. In addition, there are guided tours, a free activity, under the title ‘I get off in Delicias’. The little ones can also sign up for the interactive game “Marco Polo”, a family activity that allows them to visit the museum in a different and fun way, following an itinerary that establishes informative stops at different points of interest.

Special trains for the Badajoz carnival
Renfe will reinforce the service in Extremadura this weekend coinciding with the celebration of the Badajoz Carnival. The company has scheduled two special trains that will run on Saturday the 18th, leaving Villanueva de la Serena at 9:25 pm, and on Sunday the 19th, leaving Badajoz at 10:15 am. Both services are already on sale in all Renfe purchase channels. The special trains will stop at Don Benito, Valdetorres, Guareña, Mérida, Garrovilla, Montijo and Guadiana, thus attending to the increase in mobility expected this weekend between the different towns in the province and Badajoz.

The Bahía de Cádiz tram will expand its offer for carnivals
The tram of the Bay of Cádiz, Trambahía, has reinforced its offer of services for the carnivals of Cádiz, with double the commercial services and seats available compared to a normal weekend. In addition, the Trambahía coordinates with Renfe services and will put special trains or shuttles in Río Arillo to facilitate the transfer with the Cercanías from Cádiz to San Fernando and Chiclana.

Reinforcement of Euskotren trains for the Carnivals of San Sebastián and Durango
Euskotren will reinforce the train service on the weekend for the Carnivals of San Sebastián and Durango. The reinforcement for the Carnival of San Sebastián will take place on February 19, Sunday afternoon. Euskotren will offer trains every 15 minutes on the Irún-Amara-Irún section of line E2. In this way, both on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, when the festive events are concentrated, the same frequency will be offered: one train every fifteen minutes. The rest of the trains will run on their regular schedule. To attend the celebration in Durango, several reinforcement trains will be scheduled from Matiko and Lezama late Saturday afternoon. For the return trip, there will be special trains from Durango to Matiko, which will be added to the usual night service -every two hours- on the E1 line.

Special Euskotren service for the Real Sociedad-Celta de Vigo match
On Saturday, February 18, the usual reinforcement service will be offered for the Real Sociedad – Celta de Vigo football match, which will be played at 2:00 p.m. at the Reale Arena. Once the meeting is over, there will be special trains to Hendaye, Altza, Lasarte-Oria and Zumaya.
