Damascus – Five people, including a soldier, were killed in an Israeli airstrike in a residential area of the Syrian capital. 15 people were injured. Many buildings were destroyed. A medieval fortress and an arts institute in central Damascus were also damaged, the official SANA news agency said.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory, a UK-based war monitor, reported that 15 people, including a woman, were killed in the Israeli attack. According to the report, the attack targeted the bases of Iran-backed Hezbollah and the Iranian school in Kafr Susa was attacked. Israel confirmed the attack. Russia has accused Israel of violating international law.
