An ultra-Orthodox groom was murdered in his car in North Miami Beach today (Sunday), investigators believe it was a robbery gone wrong. The groom, the late Hershey Schwartz, a 39-year-old resident of North Miami Beach, was to be married in Lakewood next Wednesday, the Yeshiva world news website reported.

The groom was found shot in his vehicle the morning after he was shot and killed sometime overnight in a parking lot located on the corner of 167th Street in North Miami.

The victim was a long-time volunteer, an active rabbi in the organization ‘Chesed Shel Emet’ and was a household member for many years in the home of Rabbi Mark Rosenberg, the head of the organization ‘Chesed Shel Emet’ in Florida.

The groom is the son of R. Nachum Schwartz of Monsieur, a well-known Hasidic family, his funeral will be held today in Monsieur, where he will walk to the chuffa in a week or be laid to rest.
