If we once thought that the work of stylists amounted to running between chains and designers and collecting clothes, today it is already clear that styling and design are worlds that mix with each other, especially when it comes to dressing pop stars on stage. The designs of the biggest performers in Israel are often a joint thought and design work of a stylist and a designer, or as in the case before us – a ready-made garment that has been redesigned with a lot of resourcefulness.
Itai Bezaleli, the man responsible for the hysterical looks of Neta Barzilai and Noa Kirel, recently started working with the rising star Elin Golan, who is already emerging as one of the most successful, sweet and beautiful singers we have here.
When Elin was a guest at Adir Getz’s concert, Bezaleli decided that there was no need to design a completely new outfit, and instead made lemonade out of the lemons he had.
The look started with Brenda’s own stunning pink suit. This is a very successful suit, but Bezaleli realized that it needed a slight upgrade to be more suitable for the stage, and documented the process on Instagram. He started by cutting the pants that became shorts, and continued by embellishing the blazer with chains and silver pins. The final touches were white boots by Steve Madden, jewelry by Reggie, make-up by Doreen Barr and hair by Esi Sade. We won’t deny it – it made us want to take scissors and go tinkering with our existing wardrobe.
