India Yamaha Motor (IYM) has launched the updated Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Ray ZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid in the 125 CC scooter market with new features.
Strengthening India’s plan to reduce carbon emissions, Yamaha’s 125cc hybrid scooters are now equipped with an engine compatible with E20 fuel. Also, this new engine is OBD2 compliant. This helps monitor the health and performance of the engine in real-time.
2023 Yamaha Charm & Ray ZR
The newly launched 125 cc hybrid scooter range is BS-VI OBD2 & E-20 fuel compliant with an air-cooled FI engine churning out 8.2 PS of power at 6,500 RPM and 10.3 NM of torque at 5,000 RPM. This 125 Fi Hybrid Blue Core engine has Smart Motor Generator (SMG – Smart Motor Generator) system for noiseless starting of the hybrid engine to provide excellent performance.
Hybrid technology that Yamaha says includes the 125 Fi Hybrid engine’s “Automatic Stop & Start System” engine and engine start with a slight twist of the throttle, and an in-built side stand engine cut-off switch.
