16 The mother was killed in the attack on the house of the suspect charged with Kappa in Enadimangalam. The attack took place on the house of Suryalal, a native of Vadhupara. Sujata (55), who was seriously injured, died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Suryalal’s house was attacked at midnight last night. The masked gang pelted stones at the house and attacked Sujata with an iron rod. Sujatha was seriously injured and admitted to Kottayam Medical College Hospital, but her life could not be saved.

Sujata was the only one in the house when the incident took place. Surylal and his brother Chandralal are accused in several criminal cases. The police concluded that the gangs were behind the attack.
