Jeddah ∙ A Malayali couple to travel around Arab countries by bike from Saudi Arabia. Haroon Rafiq, a native of Kozhikode, who is doing business in Saudi, and his wife Dr. Farza left Jeddah on a bike. Ibrahim Shamnad flagged off.

Their first trip is to Jordan. Haroon said that he will visit the historical places of Saudi Arabia such as Badr, Al Ula, Madain Saleh and Duba on a bike with modern facilities and enter Jordan. Aqaba is the first place to visit in Jordan.

They informed that countries like Bahrain, Qatar, UAE and Oman are included in the first phase of Arab country visits. Petra, Dead Sea, Qur’anic cave, Jarash, Mount Nebu etc. will be visited.

Before this, in 2010, they traveled through the Alps, passing through various countries in Europe. Germany, Austria, Slovenia and Italy were visited in that trip. They have also visited 25 countries like America, New Zealand, South America, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, Iceland, France and Belgium.

This is the 13th ride. Both of them said that every trip brings new sights and experiences. Dr. Haroon Rafique, a native of Kozhikode, settled in Bengaluru. Farza is a native of Kasaragod. Son Adil and daughter Amal are studying in Bengaluru.
