The designated minister in the Ministry of Justice, Knesset member Dodi Amsalem from the Likud, attacked in plenary the conduct of High Court judges and wondered who supervises them.
At the beginning of his speech, Amsalem mocked the demonstrators who came out to protest the order of “Rebbe Aharon Barak”, as he put it. You don’t accept that Amsalam David makes laws here, and that’s what the debate is about.”
Amsalem turned to MK Alon Schuster from the state camp and asked him who supervises the conduct of the judges. He explained that the members of the Knesset are supervised by the public, while there is no one to supervise the judges.
He later attacked the members of the opposition and the protesters against the reform: “You have an entire army, money is the last thing you lack, all the communication with you, you only lack one thing – you have no voters, so you turn to violence.”
Regarding the protest against the government and the theft of a tank in the north, he said: “You also appropriated the Yom Kippur war, as if our parents were not there.”
