Kozhikode: A nursing student was drugged and gang-raped by two friends and classmates. A native of Ernakulam was the victim of torture. The incident took place on Saturday night. Police said that the accused took the student to her residence in Govindapuram and drugged her with alcoholic drink and raped her.
The girl came to know about the rape when she woke up at two in the morning. Meanwhile, the two friends were sleeping in a drunken stupor. Just then, the student came out of the room and called her classmate, a nursing student, on the phone and this classmate took the girl to her residence.
One of the accused lives in Govindapuram Bypass. The accused brought the girl here when the students who were staying with her had gone home.
The second accused resides in Ernakulam. He was summoned to Kozhikode. The abused girl informed her relatives in Ernakulam about the incident and then lodged a complaint.
Kasaba Inspector N. A police team led by Prajeesh is investigating the case. Kasaba Police informed that the investigation on the two accused has been intensified and they will be arrested soon.
