‘Puzha Todi Puzha Vaki’ is a film directed by Ramasimhan Ali Akbar based on the Malabar Mappila riots of 1921. Ever since its announcement, there have been strong efforts from some quarters to stall the much-talked-about film. The director had to face a lot of hurdles from the start of filming until getting the Censor Board certificate. The movie is finally hitting the theaters on March 3. The song ‘Itanenchil Kortha Novil’ has been released as part of director Ramasimhan’s birthday celebrations. Swami Chidanandapuri released the first song of ‘1921 Puzha To Puzha Paka’. Composed by Hari Venugopal, the song is sung by Sunil Matthai. Director Ramasimhan himself has written the lyrics. Apart from this, the song ‘Patachavan Pachapol’ has also come out. The film ‘Puzha To Puzha Puzha’ brings to the audience the lives of hundreds of unknown helpless people who were killed in the Hindu genocide that took place in Malabar. Ramasimhan himself has done the screenplay, direction, songwriting and editing of the movie under the banner of Mamadharma Productions. Thalaivasal Vijay, Joy Mathew, R.L.V. Ramakrishnan is playing the lead role in the film. Thalaivasal Vijay is playing the role of Wariankunnath Kunjahammed Haji.
