HM Hospitales, new medical provider of the Spanish Basketball Federation

HM Hospitals continue to make steady progress toward your goals. The national reference private hospital group signed a new agreement with the Spanish Basketball Federation. Dr. Juan Cidón, president of HM Hospitals, explained the great importance of this collaboration, since it will be the official medical provider in the year of the Centennial of the Federation. And it is that, on July 31, the organization turns 100 years old. During this period of time, the teams will play very prestigious tournaments: the 2023 World Cup, the 2023 Women’s EuroBasket, the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and the two European Games, Men’s and Women’s, in 2025.

Cidón insisted that this agreement contemplates that HM Hospitales is responsible for the medical check-ups and also for the health coverage of the players and, of course, the coaching staff. HM Hospitales has 6,500 professionals who offer quality medicine focused on the health care and well-being of their patients. In total, it is made up of 48 care centers: 21 hospitals, three highly specialized centers in Oncology Cardiology, Neurosciences, three specialized centers in Reproductive Medicine, Eye Health and Oral Health, as well as 21 polyclinics.

“Taking care of health is part of our DNA, so we are extremely proud that now we also take care of the health of all the athletes that make up the family of the Spanish Basketball Team, which is an example of teamwork, sacrifice and effort, values ​​that are also treasured by all our professionals, which is why I am sure that the relationship between the Spanish Basketball Federation and HM Hospitales will be very interesting for both parties”, stated Cidón.

For his part, Jorge Garbajosa, president of the FEB, also highly valued this agreement. “Having a new travel companion in the Centenary year is exciting. An important moment for the institution, full of sporting challenges and that we have started as number 1 in the FIBA ​​ranking. An exciting path in which we will have the support and involvement of HM Hospitales, a leading company in its sector and which begins this collaboration by demonstrating its enthusiasm for uniting objectives with us”, said Garbajosa.

The FEB has more than 900,000 followers on social networks and Spain is the European country that has hosted the most international events related to the world of basketball in the last decade.
