For the first time in the world: two hippos infected with corona

by time news

A zoo in Belgium announced yesterday (Saturday) that two hippos have been identified as blue in the corona virus. This is the first time the virus has been identified in this animal, and in the past only monkeys, cats and pets have been reported to be infected.

According to the Antwerp Zoo, the two hypnotic mothers (14) and Warmmian (41) were identified as having the virus after suffering from a runny nose, which prompted the zoo veterinarian to perform a coronary examination on them.

Epic hippos are usually wet because they stay in the water most of the day, however the garden doctors identified rhinitis secretions and so the test was performed, and the positive results were obtained relatively quickly.

Following the results, the hippopotamus compound and the caretakers of the two giant animals were sealed and were required to wear masks and a check that would prevent them from becoming infected. Zoo veterinarian, Francis Berkman, message: “As far as I know this is the first time we have had a report of infection with this species. In the past there have been reports mainly of monkeys, humans and cats.”
