After the fraud of the well-known food preparation device, Ninja Foodi, which was included in a new scam at the expense of the retail giant Shufersal, when apparently the chain offers them at the ridiculous price of only NIS 10.5, but of course, as in many cases, this is a fraud to extort your personal details. A fake Facebook post reads: “100 people can buy a NINJA fryer for 10 shekels! Click and find out more!”. Now, a Tapal pot is allegedly sold in a similar way and at the same price, but this time too it is a fraud.

Shufersal warns of an attempt to defraud customers: “In recent days, a link has been sent inviting people to enter a website pretending to be the official Shufersal website, and as part of it, it is possible to win kitchen products.”

They also added in the message to customers: “We would like to emphasize that this is not an official Shufersell activity, but rather an advertising fraud and impersonation aimed at collecting information (“phishing”) from customers. A complaint has been filed with the police on the matter. To protect your privacy, you are requested not to enter the link in question, not to enter any details and spread further”.

Similar to other trackers, the creators of the sting try to extract your personal information such as your name, credit card, code and more. If you receive such a message announcing a discount of almost 90%, keep in mind that it probably doesn’t make sense at all. In the given case, the Tefal pot costs hundreds of shekels in any store in Israel.

The same post also has comments from fictitious users that are not difficult to identify, which are written jokingly: “”I’m very happy) Thanks again! The manager was very nice. Here is the report you requested”, “I still can’t believe I got a Ninja deep fryer for 10 NIS :)) After I won, I filled in all the data and paid 10 NIS on the website, a store representative contacted me and clarified all the shipping details. The delivery took 3 days, without additional costs) I am very satisfied, thanks again” and more.

So Shufersal issued a warning to customers: “We emphasize that this is not an official activity of Shufersal, but an advertising fraud and an impersonation aimed at collecting information (“phishing”) from customers. A complaint has been filed with the police on the matter.”

The network also said in light of the findings that were discovered: “To protect your privacy, you are requested not to enter the link in question, not to enter details in it and not to distribute it further.” Of course, official messages from Persal may come, but attention should be paid.

By the way, this is not the first time that such fraud has been perpetrated, when three months ago the network issued an unusual message, according to which there is an attempt to commit a criminal act on behalf of the network through WhatsApp messages intended for hacker phishing purposes.
