Jaipur: Omidron, the new variant of Kovid, has been confirmed by more people in the country. Omikron today confirmed nine in Rajasthan, seven in Maharashtra and one in Delhi.
Nine members of a family in Jaipur, Rajasthan were infected. The family arrived from South Africa on the 25th of last month. They arrived in Jaipur from South Africa via Dubai and Mumbai.
Six people from Chinchwad in Maharashtra and one from Pune were diagnosed with the disease today. In Maharashtra, one person was diagnosed with the disease yesterday. Omicron, a new variant of Kovid, first discovered in Africa, has been confirmed in 21 people in India.
Two have been diagnosed in Karnataka and one in Gujarat.
Meanwhile, the National Advisory Council on National Immunization is likely to meet on Monday in connection with the provision of booster dose vaccine in the country.
