The City Hall of São Sebastião, on the north coast of São Paulo, released, this Tuesday (21), the names of 12 victims of the storm that affected the municipality between Saturday (18) and Sunday (19).

The prefecture did not provide the ages or places of origin of the victims. The municipal management organized a collective wake. The ceremony was scheduled to start at 11 am, on Avenida Doutor Altino Arantes, in the Historic Center.

The total number of people away from home, homeless or displaced, reaches 2,500. The missing total 40, but the numbers should still increase, since there are reports that people would be under the rubble of structures that gave way.

Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), in an interview with “Bom dia, SP”, on TV Globo, made an appeal for tourists to take advantage of the releases and the good weather, and leave the cities on the north coast. “The more people leave, the better, because it relieves pressure in the region. Anyone who can travel to the capital and other points, may do so, ”he said.
