Hijau commits suicide after being caught in a fraud case

Sondhav De Nehru (47) of Thandavarayan Mudali Street, Old Vannarpet, Chennai. Ivar worked as an agent in Hijavu Company which operated in Kilpakkam Tailors Road, Chennai. For commission, Nehru made several people living in Vannarappeta to invest in the Hijavu company.

Earlier, Hijavu advertised attractively that if you invest in their company, you will get 15 percent monthly interest payment. Many people believed this and invested money in that company. Nehru also got many people to invest in the company. But, as announced, the company did not pay the interest amount to the customers. Also, the money invested is not returned.

In this, about 4,500 people lost their money and filed a complaint in the Economic Crimes Division that they were defrauded of Rs.800 crores.

Based on this complaint, the Economic Offenses Division police registered a case and arrested the managers and agents of the company.

In this, Nehru was also arrested last November and imprisoned. Nehru was released from jail on court bail. But due to the case, Nehru’s family was in economic crisis.

At the same time, through Nehru, they invested in the Hijavu company and pressed Nehru for their money back.

Agent’s suicide: Nehru, who was very disappointed, went to the court on Monday to hear the case and returned. After this, he came home and in frustration committed suicide by hanging himself on the electric fan in his room.

Thandaiyarpet police went to the spot and recovered Nehru’s body and sent it to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital for post-mortem. Also, a case has been registered and investigation is being conducted in this regard.
