Wall collapses and knocks down power pole after rains in Mauá; watch video

Residents of Jardim Zaíra, in Mauá, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, recorded the moment when a protective wall collapsed and fell into a bus garage after heavy rain yesterday afternoon.

Suzantur’s land, which operates Mauá’s municipal transport, is located under a hillside area. No employees or buses were hit.

The fall of the wall also dragged a power pole, which was on the same sidewalk, on Rua Domingos Viola Chiarotti.

Yesterday’s rains also caused the collapse of a house in Jardim Zaíra. According to the São Paulo government, one person died on Rua Júlio Antônio Condé.
