A woman was arrested after setting the pride flag on fire and vandalizing police cars

Kendo allegedly set fire to the rainbow flag hanging outside the Little Prince restaurant on Prince Street near McDougal Street in Manhattan around 1:30 a.m. Monday, according to police. The fire caused damage to the exterior of the building, before it was extinguished by the firemen. She was charged with arson as a hate crime, criminal mischief as a hate crime and reckless endangerment as a hate crime.

Kendo also allegedly sprayed the words “Jesus is King” on the back of two NYPD patrol cars parked on Varrick Street between Erickson Place and North Moore Street that night. For this crime, she received a felony charge of possession of a graffiti instrument. The arrests are the latest of several for Kendo this year, according to police. She was arrested in January for assault and in February for threats, the sources said.
