Banjul – incumbent Adama Barrow has won the presidential election in the West African Gambia. The state election commission announced this on Sunday evening in Banjul. Barrow’s victory had already been looming. However, his fiercest opponent Ousainou Darboe did not recognize the partial results, as did two other of the six candidates. It was the first choice since long-time ruler Yahya Jammeh fled into exile.
