BFM-TV fires its presenter Rachid M’Barki following suspicions of foreign interference

BFM-TV dismissed its journalist Rachid M’Barki, following the audit launched due to suspicions of interference in his work, and filed a complaint against X, according to an internal email sent Thursday, February 23 and whose became aware of Agence France-Presse (AFP), confirming information from Telerama.

The first news channel in France had opened an internal investigation in January because of these doubts. Press revelations, including the “Story Killers” investigation conducted in part by journalists from the Mondeshowed that the presenter is suspected of having broadcast, on several occasions during the past year, subjects which had not been validated by the editorial staff of the channel, possibly on behalf of foreign governments.
