Mohammad Siraj is an integral part of the current Indian team. Siraj has performed well for India in the past. Siraj made a big comeback in his career with the Royal Challengers Bangalore team led by Virat Kohli. Indian player Dinesh Karthik says that Siraj looks at Virat like an elder brother. And Karthik also said that Kohli supported Siraj in a big way in the Bangalore team.
“Kohli is like an elder brother to Siraj. Siraj sees Virat as a mentor. Virat has been very supportive of Siraj during his bad times. Siraj returned to the Bangalore team when Kohli was the captain. He sees Virat as the most important person in his life. There are two people whom Siraj values a lot – Kohli and Bharat Arun. Bharat Arun helped Siraj a lot during his time in Hyderabad. Bharat was the highlight of Siraj’s career. Later, Virat gave good support to Siraj as the captain,” said Karthik.
“It was necessary for Siraj to perform well for Bangalore in 2020. At one point, he was even considered to be kicked out of the team. But Virat asked the team that ‘I want him in the playing eleven’. After that he gave excellent performances. The Kolkata team I was a part of was bowled out by Bangalore for less than 100 runs that day. Siraj was the player of the match that day and took three wickets,” added Karthik.
Karthik says that Virat Kohli’s support has helped Siraj a lot in his life. Karthik feels that Kohli’s support is also behind Siraj’s current successful performances.
