Netanyahu in discussions on the state budget: “The deficit will be 1 percent”

by time news

The government is currently discussing the state budget for the years 2023-2024, which is expected to be approved by the ministers tonight (between Thursday and Friday). Many sections of the budget are still in dispute between the Treasury and the various ministries, but at the beginning of the meeting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced agreements on some of the issues at the center of the disputes: the demand of the Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gabir to increase the police budget, and the fulfillment of Netanyahu’s promise of a free education law for ages 0- 3.
