Konstantin Krokhin, chairman of the Moscow Housing Union, member of the housing and communal services committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the new rules for the operation of housing would oblige the owners of the premises to bring the balcony back to its original state if it is glazed. This is reported by “Evening Moscow”.

It is clarified that according to the new rules, tenants and owners of residential premises should not “reorganize or redevelop residential premises in violation of the order of the Housing Code of the Russian Federation.”

According to Krokhin, the new measures will allow regional authorities to take into account local rules regarding the reconstruction of loggias and balconies, and other alterations.

“In the event that, according to the plan of the house, the balconies should not be glazed, then from March 2022 for glazing and refurbishment it will be necessary to obtain permission from the local authorities,” the specialist added.
