Jeff Bezos is on his way to a huge deal: will he buy the luxury group?

by time news

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has hired an investment firm to investigate a possible bid to buy the famous football team, the Washington Commanders. This was published today (Friday) in the “Washington Post”, after a statement from those close to the deal was revealed.

The Washington Post, which Bezos owns, reported that the company he works with is Allen & Company from New York. The company’s hiring does not mean that Bezos will buy the team or that he will even make an offer – but it does indicate a certain level of interest on his part. On behalf of Jeff Bezos, they refused to respond to the post about the things.

Last November, Washington Commanders owner Dan Snidef, and his wife Tina, announced that they had hired the services of Bank of America Securities to consider a possible sale of the club.

That month, in an interview with CNN, the billionaire businessman was asked if he wanted to buy the group. “Yeah, I heard that buzz,” Bezos said with a smile. Bezos noted that he “grew up in Houston, Texas, and I played football growing up as a kid.” Bezos also added that “this is my favorite sport, so we’ll have to wait and see.”
