Many French people on vacation have chosen the mountains, others have gone to the seaside, in Martinique, where the beaches are currently very popular. Hotels and restaurants are crowded.
Instead of the tumult of the carnival, they preferred the sound of the waves. Lunch on the terrace, or a quick meal, with your feet in the water. Everyone has their own formula, in all cases it is a dream vacation in perspective. “The sun, the fairly clear, turquoise sea, you can see a lot of fish, that’s what’s really nice here”, appreciates a vacationer. The Trois-îlets hotel had no great difficulty in filling the 200 or so bungalows of the structure, located in the heart of a tropical garden.
Towards a return to normal
In the Creole village, the flow of customers is continuous, and everyone wants to bring back their little souvenir from Martinique. “Sales are excellent, we needed it”, said a shopkeeper. After several tourist seasons ruined by the pandemic, the return to normal seems to have begun. What hope may be to reach the 2018 record. That year, more than a million visitors had set foot on Martinican soil.
