A year to war in Europe: what drives Putin and what is the main factor that makes it difficult to end it?
First, Zelensky stood for a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the war and handed out signs to the soldiers and families of the dead. “You will decide if we should all exist, if Ukraine should exist,” he said.
Afterwards, he said that he was “confident” that Ukraine would drag Moscow’s forces out of his country and claimed that “this is on the condition that we remain united as one strong fist and work together, I know that victory is inevitable, we have everything for it. We have the motivation, the certainty, the friends , the diplomacy. Everything is designed to make us win.”
When asked if NATO countries should increase their defense spending in light of the war in Ukraine, Zelensky said that “many countries in the world have started to increase their defense budgets. The war in Ukraine pushed NATO’s reset button.”
Meanwhile, around the world there were many protests for the end of the war in Ukraine, when in London they made a special gesture and painted the road in front of the Russian embassy in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
