Year of all dangers, 2022 proved to be the year of all records for the giants of the CAC 40. The French flagships of industry, services and finance reached new historic heights last year. With the exception of Thalès, Veolia and Vivendi, all the groups closing their financial year at the end of December have published their 2022 results. And these are enough to make you dizzy.
On the one hand, all the giants of the CAC 40, without exception, have seen their turnover increase. Unheard of in the history of the flagship index of the Paris Bourse. On the other hand, only one of them shows a net loss: Renault, because of the sale, for a symbolic ruble, of its Russian subsidiary AvtoVaz. Without this, the manufacturer would have posted a profit of 1.6 billion euros. Moreover, only a handful of groups saw their profits fall last year.
