About ten activists of the movement Extinction Rebellion they blocked the Rome ring road, near Settebagni, to turn the spotlight on climate change. Unrolling two banners that read “Ecological and climatic emergency” they sat on the roadway and sent the traffic on tilt for about two hours. “We are not against you – the activists explained to the people who got out of their cars, some of whom verbally attacked them with insults – we we only ask politics to be heard. We want city assemblies to decide how to implement a fair and sustainable ecological transition ”. The peaceful protest, which started around 8 in the morning, ended around 10.30 following the arrival of the police who have shifted weight activists from the street
