100 new jobs in Eschweiler: Babor invests 60 million euros | Regional

Eschweiler/Aachen (NRW) – This is good news: the Aachen-based family company Babor is building a production and logistics center for its cosmetic products in Eschweiler.

From spring 2023, all the jars, tubes and also the famous ampoules of the cosmetics company – more than half a million pieces a day.

60 million euros have been invested in what they claim to be the “most sustainable cosmetics factory in the world”, including a photovoltaic system so that the building is largely self-sufficient in terms of energy. In conjunction with heat pumps and heat recovery, this should ensure that the new location can get by practically without fossil fuels.

In addition, electric trucks are to be used for truck shuttle traffic between Aachen and Eschweiler in the future.
