How long does the Tejas Express train stop at Tambaram?

Tejas Express train is running from Chennai Egmore to Madurai via Trichy and Dindigul at 6 am. This train will run on all days of the week except Thursday. In this situation, the passengers were demanding that the Tejas train should make an additional stop at the Tambaram railway station. In this regard, Union Joint Minister L. Murugan sent a request letter to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav last January.

In this situation, the Railway Board has announced that the Tejas Express train running on Chennai-Ellumpur-Madurai route will stop at Tambaram railway station on a trial basis from 26th (today) for 6 months.

Tejas train will stop at Tambaram railway station from today following the notification of the Railway Board. Southern Railway informed that the Tejas Express train will stop for 2 minutes only between 6.25 am to 6.27 am and 8.38 pm to 8.40 pm. Similarly, Union Joint Minister L. Murugan will flag off the Tejas Express train at 6.25 am today at the new stop, Tambaram railway station. DR Balu MP, Tambaram Mayor Vasantakumari, SR Raja MLA will participate in this event.
