Arrest warrants have been issued against 171 construction contractors accused of causing heavy damage in Turkey’s earthquake due to unstable illegal buildings. A terrible earthquake occurred in the early morning of the 6th on the Turkey-Syria border. More than 43 thousand 500 people died in this earthquake in Turkey. More than a lakh were injured.
Thousands of buildings collapsed and leveled in the earthquake. The rescue operations, which took several days, have now come to an end. At the same time, the Turkish government is taking various legal measures regarding the earthquake. Accordingly, many construction contractors have been charged with corruption for illegally constructing buildings and are being investigated. The Turkish government has issued arrest warrants against 171 building contractors in this regard. As warrants have been issued, it is expected that all 171 people may be arrested soon.
