On Saturday the police found the bodies of 40-year-old parents Linda and Devid R. and their four, eight and ten-year-old daughters Rubi, Janni and Leni. They had gunshot and stab wounds. A suicide note was found.
According to the investigation, which has not yet been completed, it is “most likely” that the father of the family first killed his wife and three daughters and then committed suicide, the Cottbus public prosecutor announced on Monday afternoon. A suicide note found in the house came from the father. Devid R. was a teacher at a company school, in his free time he built wells, his wife Linda worked as a business economist.

A neighbor had alerted the police on Saturday because he had not seen the family for a long time. When the officers went into the house, they found the bodies. On Monday pastors visited the primary school of the two older children and the daycare of little Rubi.
