The General Directorate of Citizenship and Foreign Affairs (GTRFA) is conducting a 3-day campaign titled ‘A Homeland for All’ in Deira City Center to reach out to visa-challenged residents, multi-taskers and tourists to resolve their issues.
The three-day campaign, from February 25 to 27, will be held at a stall in Deira City Centre. In this the GDIAREFA officials will issue guidelines. Those who have problems with visa can contact these authorities and solve the problem. The solution is available to all, including overstayers and those with expired documents. Located near Centrepoint, this stall is open from 10 am to 10 pm.

Residents who are unsure about the validity of their visas can check the expiry of their permit using their passports alone.
According to a GDRFA social media post, the campaign hopes to promote a culture of compliance with entry and residence laws. Lt Col Salem Bin Ali, Director, Customer Happiness Department, GDRFA, appealed to people to come to the stall without fear and explain their problems. “Even if you overstay by 10 years, our staff will find a solution for you,” he said in his Instagram post.
A fine of Dhs 50 per day is imposed for overstaying the permitted visa period in the UAE. This also applies to visa cancellations. It can also attract heavy fines. GTRFA said the campaign will give people in the UAE an opportunity to resolve any visa-related issues they may have.
