It has drawn my attention Wonders and Visions: A Visual History of Science Fiction. It is a project to publish a book that tells the history of science fiction through its best-known covers.

There will be three types of tickets with a total of more than 350 images and 50,000 words. First, there will be several hundred key covers: one or sometimes two images accompanied by 150 or 200 words of text, of the ten (or more) most iconic and recognizable covers of each decade of our history; Secondly, there will be one or two page posts in which will compare several covers, to see how different artists and publishers have approached the task of visualizing some of the most famous novels in the history of the genre; finally, there will be entries about innovative or unusual covers that marked a milestone.

All the content will also be linked to tell the story of this art form as a whole and not as a series of individual pieces.

As always there are several rewards to choose from. Since the book will be printed on 120 gram paper I think I would opt for one of the ones that includes a copy in dead trees format.
