The excitement was at its peak in the early hours of Sunday, February 26, when the expected rulings of this year’s Official Carnival Contest were announced. The Teatro de Verano witnessed the scrutiny of scores after the exciting last stage of the Liguilla in which 24 teams participated.
It was a night of celebration for all Carnival lovers and a closing with a flourish for a carnival that finally returned in its entirety after the pandemic.
